INVITATIONS

Invitation from Professor Andrew Green I am delighted to welcome you all to the 13th European neurofibromatosis meeting, which is being held in Killarney, Co. Kerry. Killarney is one of the most beautiful parts of Ireland, and is a wonderful setting for what will be an outstanding meeting for everyone involved in understanding Neurofibromatosis. Until recently, the mechanisms between the genetic basis of neurofibromatosis, and the clinical problems that arise, have been an unknown "black box". This meeting will take us much further on the journey to understand how the condition happens, and on to realising how to manage the condition better. On behalf of the Neurofibromatosis Association of Ireland, and the National Centre for Medical Genetics, I hope you all have an excellent conference, and have time to enjoy the science, enjoy meeting new and old colleagues, and enjoy the delights of Killarney. I am sure this will be a very enjoyable and productive meeting, and with the added bonus that it is being held in one of the most glorious parts of Ireland. Meena |
